For Connection

The story of Alamo Community Church is made up of hundreds of stories just like Jennifer’s Story. #ForTheAlamoCity is our opportunity to create hundreds more.

“I grew up in a Christian home, but as I entered college a lot of that started to fade away. I felt like I could do life on my own. I had a plan and it was going to be great. Because of that plan I ended up in the middle of the West Texas desert in a relationship that was unhealthy and caused a big rift in my family. So when I got to San Antonio I had just ended that relationship, I was in a new city, had a new job and an opportunity to start completely over … my life could have gone two different ways.” That is when Jennifer’s new neighbors invited her to Alamo Community Church and everything began to change.

#ForTheAlamoCity is our opportunity to be a part of hundreds, potentially even thousands of stories just like Jennifer’s. Get involved in building connections just like these.

For Community

Jesus was once asked the question "What is the greatest commandment?" In response He said, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind AND love your neighbor as yourself. In other words, our purpose in life is to ‘love God AND love others.’ The AND Initiative is the purposeful effort of Alamo Community Church to partner with other charitable groups and organizations to make a difference, not only in the Alamo City, but around the world.

For The Alamo City

Since 2016, Alamo Community Church, in partnership with the Tim Tebow Foundation and the Gordon Hartman Family Foundation, has hosted the unforgettable prom night experience, ‘Night to Shine’. On this night, over 400 special needs guests and care providers from the Alamo City are given a true VIP treatment. From the red carpet entrance to the crowning of all of our guests as the kings and queens that they are, it is a wonderful night to remember and truly a ‘Night to Shine.’
